INTRODUCTION
                                                
VYASA, is a Charitable Society was registered in 1986 in Nagarcoil, Tamilnadu as Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana. From 1986 to 2000 it was called Vivekananda Kendra Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (VK YOGAS). VYASA is the mother organization of S-VYASA, A Deemed University. VYASA has its Office for communications in Ekanath Bhavan in Bangalore city and Residential Campus – Prashanti Kutiram, 35 kms from the city.
Vision: 
To bring the benefits of Yoga to everyone in the society.
Mission:
 To make Yoga a socially relevant science by using the modern tools of scientific research.
Relevance of Yoga in modern society:
By using the knowledge of consciousness, and yoga way of life, a new global era of spirituality (as science) and Yoga (as technology) will emerge to solve the basic problems of the modern hi-tech era.

What is Yoga?
Yoga as a way of life, the science of Holistic Living to bring health and happiness, peace, efficiency , harmony and growth in individuals. The Integrated Yoga Approach can solve the problems of the modern society and build ideal social orders.To use the four streams of Yoga (Jnana, Raja, Bhakti & Karma Yoga) all leading to the same goal as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda and its applications to all aspects of modern life, We have named it as “Vivekananda Yoga”.
